night photography

The three parts of this project were really challenging. It was a very good learning experience for me. It was difficult keeping track of time, the same exact spot to take the photograph, and even of how the shadow changes direction or gets more crisp during the afternoon. During the afternoon, the brightness of the subject increase, even my photograph “Afternoon” looks a little more exposed from the light. It was interesting to see how sunlight affect different things in different ways. On how the leaves look more crisp than a building would, how details would be more visible with the direct sunlight of the noon or the afternoon. I feel like my photographs are a little successful for the purpose of this assignment. Finally the night photography, it was difficult since I did not have a tripod and a lot of my photographs came out with a blur. It was also hard to find some of the light sources.

photographs through time

It was a very good learning experience though since I do not like taking portraits that much. It was really challenging for me, since I do not really know how to take portraits and what would look good in a portrait and what would not. But overall, I had so much fun with this project as I get to have my sister, and couple friends, as models and my sister helping me with different poses in different places.

It was fun to experiment with the motions and the blur. The blurs make the photographs more abstract and some of them even more interesting to look at, than a still life would look. The depth of field is so interesting, and it is interesting to see how a photograph could be very clear in the foreground and make the background really blurry or vice versa.
