Structure, technology, building systems and codes are explored as design-determinants, space makers, and form-givers in this synthesis studio. Building typologies, long span structural systems, environmental systems and electronic media are analyzed as they relate
to design development. This studio seeks to explicate the complex relationships between form, structure, spatial organization and tectonic qualities through precedent analysis and building design.
Axonometric View of Site
The Green Ville food hub is in the heart of Downtown Los Angeles surrounded by many local marketplaces and restaurants. The hub will be more efficient for the distribution process of the food. Its location will help with cutting the cost of the transportation, which makes the products much cheaper for the consumers. It will also will help with cutting the carbon footprint for transportation. The structure will be made from sustainable materials.

The structure has a high-rise restaurant for a beautiful view of Downtown Los Angeles. The view of the plaza that is right behind the site will not be blocked. There will be fast growing crops, with few other major crops, to help restock the local markets and restaurants with the resources they need. Under the bridge there is a back access for trucks to the storage. There are hangouts areas throughout as well as a coffee shop.

Site plan and Food Distribution
The Green Ville food hub is an environmentally friendly location. Other than the fact that it grows food and helps surrounding market places, the building itself is designed to save energy. It has solar panels, double glass, isolated walls, ceilings and floors, as well as uses recycled grey water. The building is designed to be carbon absorbent instead of carbon emission that is why timber wood is used as a substitute for concrete.
