Puzzlementry focuses on creating a fun and interactive learning environment for its students. Created using puzzle pieces, the concept steers away from the basic elementary school design. The colors of the rainbow where used to differentiate the different programs in the project and be an easy fun way for the kids to learn about colors. The existing community garden remains the same to serve its purpose for the community and the students. Community areas are also available such as a community wellness center and a dinning area. The school provides indoors and outdoor classrooms for a safe and healthy learning environment.

The project’s landscape is shaped as a puzzle for the entertainment of the kids. The playfulness of the puzzle gives the kids a sense of fun and childness. The glass windows and walls are to have more sense of the outdoors and openness of the classrooms. The structures are made completely out of wood for sustainability and stability reasons.

Circulation

The traffic flow varies around the school’s site. Woodbury road is the main street, the road is always busy and fast in traffic. The two streets perpendicular to Woodbury as well as the one parallel to it are busy streets too but not main roads, the flows on these streets are not as high as Woodbury Road. The branched out streets are the more private streets where most of the residential areas are.
